I just want to basically use my mm6 board as a midi via audio interface primarily. Then the second question is, can I switch between midi and audio with the audio interface? If so, how would I do that.ītw the little knob at the top that supposed to light up when you play a midi note doesnt light up at all. Steps from scratch would be helpful if possible, as I am a beginner. So I guess my first question is how I can get my yamaha mm6 to play midi (FL Studio) sounds. The only way I can hear the FL sound is by clicking the notes in the FL instrument box itself. Ash body with a maple neck and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, its loaded with Alnico V PJ pickups and weighs 3.9kgs. But when I go to play notes on the mm6 all I hear is the sounds coming from the mm6. Made in Taiwan in the late 1990s, the Yamaha 85 was a mid-range model from the Billy Sheehan endorsed Attitude series. I go through the whole setup process with midi settings and audio settings (see attachments). And I have the mm6 connected to the audio interface via 1/4 cable. I have the usb cable running from audio interface to laptop (PC). My end goal is to be able to use my yamaha mm6 keyboard to play Fl sounds (aka midi, piano roll) and also sounds from the mm6 (aka audio, no piano roll) into FL studio. I have come to my wits end trying to figure how to get this all working correctly
